The Rockies and the Stanley Hotel

Recently we returned from a fabulous trip to the Colorado Rocky Mountains. We started in Telluride, moved on to Pike’s Peak and then finished our adventures in the gorgeous area around Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. The Rockies really are one of those wonders of the world that every American should see. It makes you realize how huge this country is. We were also pretty amazed at the Stanley Hotel that sits just outside of the park. What a beautiful old building it is and when you learn the history it amazes even more. We were only able to stay a few days at the Stanley, but we enjoyed every minute of our time there.
