Camping Gear for Birthday Present

I have a very good friend who has two little girls that are almost exactly the same ages as my little boys (within weeks of each other). Today, we were discussing birthdays and gifts we could get for the kids since they all have birthdays coming up. She said that her oldest daughter wants stuff for camping. Other than tents camping gear could be hard to find that is appropriate for a four-year-old. I suppose I could buy a kids lantern and a fun flashlight. I may have to stretch the idea a bit and get something like binoculars or games that can be played while camping.
