Grandparent Needs Birth Record for Will

My Grandmother is a controlling, narrow minded and bitter woman. She is very wealthy, and had a list of acceptable professions for each of her grandchildren. When we refuse to do what she says, she refuses to talk to us. A few years ago, I decided to get married. She disapproved of my husband. Now our daughter has never met her grandmother. She finally declared to the family that she is willing to put the child in the will, but only if she receives proof of her existence through the State of California birth records, so I am not “conning” her. The nerve of that woman!
